The global smartphone market share of Apple and Samsung has reached 55%

June 16 news, market research firm ABI Research released a report, the global smartphone market share of Apple and Samsung has reached 55%.

The report also showed that the total profits two companies proportion in the global smart phone industry has exceeded more than 90% in the first quarter this year. According to ABI Research’s calculations, the first quarter of the global smart phone sales grew 41 percent which to 144.6 million units.

Which should be noted that Nokia’s first-quarter shipments fell 40% and RIM is down 20%.Following is the world’s leading smartphone vendors released by ABI Research in the first quarter shipments data:
Samsung: 43 million
Apple: 35 million
Nokia: 11.9 million
The RIM: 11.1 million
Sony: 7 million
